Georges "RUSH" St. Pierre

Georges "Rush" St. Pierre is UFC's welterweight champion, named the 2011  Fighter of the Year, Canadian Athlete of the Year, and Most Outstanding Fighter among other recognitions. Given numerous awards, he never fails to inspire people to pursue things worth achieving — DREAMS.
I've never been an avid fan of UFC until recently, thanks to the man who's so involved with me right now who, by the way, is an obsessed (well, that's how I see it, babe.. sorry!) fan of  GSP—giving me the sole reason why I'm now having the same passion as he has for this sport.

My first impression with UFC was 'what's with the brutality and WHY?' I've always thought boxing was the bloodiest sport ever but the no-mercy attitude the UFC fighters display while inside the octagon on every fight just proved me wrong.

It wasn't an easy childhood for GSP, his known alias to St. Pierre fanatics. Being bullied in school, he became determined to study karate from his father at the age of seven. He later added wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, Kyokushin, Muai Thai, and Gaidojutsu to his mixed martial arts skills. Colleagues would get quite surprised upon learning that the once quiet and shy boy has become the world's best welterweight fighter.

Despite all the success, GSP has remianed humble, both feet still in touch with the ground. He never trash-talked any of his opponents but praises them instead. What happens inside the octagon is simply as it is, outside of it means nothing. He has been consistently oblivious to those provoking him to be in a fight that's not included in any of his contracts. He knows he has nothing else to prove. Now that's professionalism.

For those who aren't yet familiar with the 'Rush', I'm gonna leave you with something that shows the strength and power of  the best of the best.
